THE DAILY POST WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: On Top

Driving south from Krakow during a pilgrimage in 2012, we were graced with a rare blue sky in between rainy hours, in time to capture this castle on top of a hill. There must be some beautiful things to see from up there, a sense of understanding of what’s going on down below, a better picture of the layout of the town, somehow. Out intellectual ascent to the heavenly truths does the same thing. As we climb up from the hill of our narrow horizons, we get a better perspective of the way God has planned the universe, and the small things that seem to matter much down below do not seem as significant in the wider vista from the top. So seek always for the higher perspective, and never settle for isolated petty things that get blown up beyond what they really are.

This is my entry to the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: On Top.
