Assisi. Every soul-searching human being should find his/her way to Assisi. It is a very spiritual place, primarily because it is associated with two radically spiritual role models of Christian living – Francis and Claire – who both embraced radical evangelical poverty to show the path to holiness and radically call the Church to a renewal.  Thinking about these two saints, and the many others who witnessed to the power of the faith, inspire to try my best.  The outstanding Christians encourage me that sanctity is humanly possible, because of God’s grace at work in us, and our participation in the work of the Spirit of God.

Behind me are signs pointing to different landmarks of the modern town of Assisi, in the Valley of Umbria. From the valley, one can sometimes see the Medieval Hill that is bookend-ed by the two basilicas of these reformation saints.

This is my entry to A Word A Week Challenge: Sign. A bit too literal, but it works. 🙂
