Budapest, Hungary has got to be one of the most beautiful illuminated cities in the world.
Taking a river cruise through the Danube as it cuts through the city is a truly magical experience. One can find some beautifully illuminated buildings and structures, like this, the Hungarian Parliament Building, dramatically catching one’s attention with its full night lighting. The parliament Building is one of the two highest buildings in all of Hungary, the other being the basilica of Saint Stephen (Izvan). Light is necessary to be able to see the splendor and truth around us, in the same way that faith allows us to see the true beauty and splendor that is hidden in the created universe. This must be the reason why we hear this as the first creative act of God – let there be light, that creation may be seen with the light of faith.

This is my entry to the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Light.
