This is my entry to The Daily Post Weekly Word Photo Challenge: Infinite.

What is truly infinite is the Divine Love of God expressed in the cross. Imagine this. You are in the great plaza of the Lourdes Shrine, together with thousands of people in procession holding candles and singing and praying together. The sky is dark, and the only lights come from lamps, candles and the basilica hovering over all. Then you pass by this illuminated crucifix, and underneath it are smaller crosses from different parts of the world. These are series of infinites, really – infinite faith, infinite hope, infinite love. Infinite devotion, infinite joy, infinite life with God! As I got to the crucifix, I sighed a smile of gratitude for the infinite blessings that the Lord has poured upon me, blessings I never deserved in my life, blessings I will never be able to count to my final breath. I keep these memories in pictures like this, they are among my most valuable possessions. I believe that the sentiments evoked by this picture is the easiest access I have to the One, True, Infinite God.
